October 3, 2022

What another wonderful week. Though alas, the fever of hay is upon a few unlucky members. I hope you're not one of them. I wish this swollen, itchy and cloudy plague on no one! If you have a cure, do share.

Coffee on the Lawn

Another great Thursday has been and gone! We were finally free to enjoy the wonderful weather via the veranda out the front. The magpies were curious, the breeze soft as the Australian native leaned lazily in the sun. Conversation was ripe and filled with the occasional inspired pun we all love, coming in the direction of Barry.

Numbers may be limited by cars and drivers available.

Volunteers wanted

There are lots of ways to get involved at DR! We would love more people to take part in the Sunday Service for one. If you feel like you could enjoy greeting at the door, sharing a communion message, jumping on the worship team, closing the service with a pastoral prayer, or perhaps sharing an offering talk, I think I can speak for the church family when I say we would love to use the gifts you have to offer!

If you're currently unsure, think and pray on it. Opportunities will keep a knockin'.

Thanks abundantly to those who are already giving their time to serve at DR. Morning tea makers, communion creators, audio visual technician genius', songstresses and musicians all. For the small things with great love and oft behind the scenes washers of tea-towels and takers of bins. What a wonderful team we have here at DR.

Op-Tober

It is events like this that make us look back on life with great fondness and shining eyes. What makes this event so great you ask? Well Barry will be MC-ing for starters, that's always a good time. Keaton Staz will be "Staz-Jazzing", a very remarkable thing you must know. But the most wonderful thing of all is that YOU will be gett involved, walking down that cat walk with the biggest grin on your face. It's for a good cause. It's going to be a laugh. What more could you want?

Big thank you to Gary for sharing the word these two weeks gone. We really appreciate your ministry. Also huge congratulations to Rachel for passing OSSTU and for receiving the Academic Achievement award. These aren't easy achievements and we are all very proud of Rachel!
