Summer Sensations

Good golly, it’s February! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. And what fun it has been, prettying up our hall! The floors are down and look SPECTACULAR. The skirting and the under stage panels are in place, all that’s left to do is paint. I do love it when a plan comes together. While we’re on the subject of plans, let’s take a look at the plan for February - it’s going to be a goodie!

Mark your calendars! Grace’s Baptism will be 11th February, 9.30am

I simply cannot think of a better way to kick off the month than with a front yard baptism! That’s right, a date has been set. I really hope you can join us on Sunday the 11th of February at 9.30am for Grace’s baptism. We are thrilled that Grace has decided to be baptised at Dalkeith Road, her spiritual home and faith community. Following the baptism, we will commence our usual service at 10am, then continue the celebrations in the hall for morning tea. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Family Gathering

The week after (February 18th) we’ll be coming together after the service for our Family Gathering. This is an opportunity to share a meal, reflect on the joys of the last 6 months and look forward to another exciting year together, building our community.

Connect returns in March

The good times continue with our weekly tradition of Coffee on the Lawn! Come grab a brew, share smiles with friends, and soak up the sunshine. It's a perfect chance to relax and recharge. We’ll be meeting every Thursday in February (10am), while our dearly loved Barry & Sheryl take a well-deserved break. Connect will be returning in March.

Dalkeith Road School of Music

Ahh the sweet, enchanting melodies of Dalkeith Road School of Music are once again filling our weekday afternoons! The teachers and students have returned for term 1 with great enthusiasm! We are thrilled to welcome back our esteemed regular teachers and are excited to introduce our new guitar teacher, Josh, who will be joining the team for one day per week. We now have more than 85 lessons scheduled each week, and are eagerly preparing for a highly anticipated concert programme. This will feature vocal recitals, opera performances, and the always popular Jazz Night! We can't wait to share these beautiful musical experiences with you.

Meat and Potatoes

Wait…what? No, that was not a typo (depsite it being dangerously close to dinner time). Meat and Potatoes is the ever-intriguing title of our next message series which kicks off this Sunday. We’ll be going back to basics as we dive into the practical ways we are called to love as followers of Christ.

It’s been a pleasure giving you the rundown of all things Dalkeith Road in February. Looking forward to sharing delicious food, great coffee, and good times with you over the coming weeks.

Until next time, stay cool y’all.
